Slater & Gordon opened an office in Liverpool this week in a bid to boost its offering to the western suburbs.

NATIONAL law firm

The new office is headed by local lawyer Michael Lawandi, who has worked in the region for more than 10 years.

The new Liverpool office will offer a range of legal services covering specialised areas of motor vehicle accidents, workers compensation and personal injury.

The Liverpool office will work closely with Slater & Gordon’s Parramatta office, which will deal with conveyancing, wills and estates issues.

Lawandi said he was proud to be able to represent people who often have little understanding of the law but find themselves caught up in dire situations well beyond their control.

“Securing the best possible result and maximising payouts for people catastrophically injured in motor vehicle accident ensures their financial future and that they are properly taken care of,” he said.

“With a population of more than 1.85 million, Greater Western Sydney is growing faster than both Sydney and the rest of NSW.”

Slater & Gordon, General Manager (New South Wales), Hayden Stephens, said the Liverpool office was an important investment in the firm’s growth and future in New South Wales.

“It means that residents are going to be able to get high quality and affordable legal services locally and be connected to a national network with significant resources and expertise,” Stephens said.

The announcement follows the acquisition of Rod Powe Lawyers in Maitland, NSW, last month. It brings the total number of Slater & Gordon offices to 37.
