The extent of the departures from the UK's top law firms has been revealed.

CLIFFORD Chance has faced more departures from its ranks than any other firm, a UK legal magazine has revealed.

A year after Lehman Brothers collapsed, The Lawyer has surveyed the City's top 10 firms, showing how the partnerships have fared.

Clifford Chance has seen the greatest number of departures, and since 1 May 62 partners have left, according to filings made with Companies House and reported by The Lawyer.

The departures have been in part attributed to a major restructuring program at Clifford Chance that saw about 130 people move on.

Linklaters faced 23 LLP member resignations, compared to 72 at Clifford Chance. The total number of partner resignations at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, was lower, at 14. That firm was the only magic circle firm that did not have a redundancy program.
