Mirror, mirror on the wall… Who is the fairest of them all? Like the seven dwarfs who were off to work, so too law firms across Australia will march to Melbourne on 3 September for the annual law careers fair. But who are they looking for and, even more importantly, which is the best for you?

Far from a fairytale wedding, the law student, law firm union can be fraught with difficulties and tribulations. But that is not to say that with some careful consideration, you can find a job that is indeed a match made in heaven.

And, the question remains, is it a law firm you want after all? There may be another knight in shining armour in the form of legal aid or a corporation, just waiting to scoop you up. So how to choose, how to choose?

Rather than falling down the rabbit hole in confusion, take a peek at Lawyer2Bs comprehensive list of who is at the Fair, what they have on offer and what’s in their goody bags. Also pick up something very cool at the Lawyer2B stall. We’d be delighted to meet you!

We were at the Sydney Law Careers Fair earlier this year and picked up some important pointers for you. And check out our assessment of how to behave on the day before you take another step into that Fair.

Building your legal career is a little like a fairytale you may remember. Build it out of sticks, taking little care or thought, and it’s more than likely the whole thing will fall apart given a little push.

But if you do your research, think about what it is you really want to do and be an interesting, social, friendly and positive potential candidate, you’ll have a career as strong as that little brick hut that piggy built against all odds. Good luck, and see you at the Fair.
