Boutique commercial and construction firm Lovegrove & Lord has launched a trans-Tasman immigration practice, recruiting Alex Hunt to head it up.
Hunt, an immigration law specialist and registered migration agent, has more than 14 years' experience in the field, working across Sydney, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. He advises individuals and businesses from a diverse range of countries on all facets on immigration, and is fluent in nine languages other than English.
The firm's managing partner Kim Lovegrove said he believed immigration law would be a strong growth area in Australia, adding that the firm's existing construction expertise would be of benefit to the new practice.
"A great many migrants, particularly the more affluent from Asia and Eastern Europe, embark upon property ventures such as the purchase of properties and building or property development. The construction and property skill sets of this firm are in tune with this appetite," he said.
