Based on the value of announced Australian and New Zealand deals, Mallesons came in on top in both tables, with the value of deals equalling a total of $US22.7 billion ($24.5 billion) across the two tables.

Freehills was the next highest ranked firm in this category, ranked in 2^nd place on the Bloomberg table and 3^rd place on the Thomson Reuters table.

Gilbert + Tobin also ranked in the top five firms across both tables, coming in at 3^rd and 5^th in the Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters tables respectively, while Blake Dawson was ranked 4^th in both tables.

Clayton Utz was ranked 5^th in the Bloomberg table and Allens Arthur Robinson was ranked 2^nd in the Thomson Reuters table.
