Election 2010: The Coalition holds the greatest promise for the legal profession and what it stands for, according to a recent Lawyers Weekly survey.

Forty per cent of those who responded to the survey rated the Coalition as having the most to offer the legal profession, followed by The Greens, who secured 29 per cent of the vote.

Labor lagged well behind in the poll, earning only 25 per cent of the vote.

The remaining 6 per cent went to the Democrats and other parties.

The results of the survey are perhaps somewhat surprising, given that just under half of the lawyers actually running for election are affiliated with Labor, while just over 25 per cent are affiliated with the Liberal Party, as a recent study by Lawyers Weekly revealed.
