Acting Up is the Griffin Theatre Company's spin on corporate fundraising, giving professional groups the chance to live a day in the life of an actor.
The courageous lawyers rehearsed an excerpt from an Australian play with a professional director and actor and delivered an evening performance on stage at the SBW Stables Theatre in front of a judging panel, including writer and actor Brendan Cowell.
"It has been very entertaining to see lawyers playing the role of actors and I am sure it would be even more interesting to reverse those roles - actors as lawyers," Cowell said.
Representing Baker & McKenzie was partner Andrew Stewart, senior associates Sebastian Busa and Erica Kidman and director of talent management, Kate Muir, performing a piece from Speaking in Tongues, by Andrew Bovell.
One of two teams from Marque Lawyers took home the trophy with their excerpt from "After Dinner".
