The results of our latest poll, which asked lawyers what they dream about during the day, might just be your managing partners' worst nightmare coming true.

It appears that lawyers may not actually be the career-ladder-climbing workaholics they're sometimes made out to be. Coming in with 38 per cent of the votes, the thing that most lawyers dream about during the day is "this weekend". It also seems that lawyers are a little discontented with their current roles, with 30 per cent voting for "my next career move".
While its heartening to know that at least some are still passionate about their work, with 15 per cent of lawyers saying they dream about "the next big deal", the same number voted for "an end to the stress". But perhaps the most surprising result, coming in last by a very clear margin, is that only 2 per cent of lawyers dream of potential promotions.
