BCI Lawyers was established in 2005 to serve the Queensland middle market and has a team of 32, including 13 lawyers, all of whom will join the M+K group from January. Following the merger, six BCI lawyers will become M+K principals taking the total principal count to 50 nationally.
"Our merger with BCI is an exciting step in the evolution of M+K into a national commercial law firm, focused on businesses and asset owners in the middle market," said M+K national managing director Damian Paul.
"It means we have a strong foothold in each east coast capital city including Hobart, and [we] can service our clients nationally in all key areas of expertise including acquisitions and divestments, employment and industrial relations, capital raising and corporations law, litigation, property, construction, intellectual property and real estate transactions."
