This award recognises a partner (or partner equivalent) who has effectively upheld the legal responsibilities of clients involved in intellectual property. It includes intellectual property partners who have honed their information-sharing knowledge to advise clients on a number of matters, including, but not limited to, patent, trademark, copyright and design disputes. It is open to any partner (or partner equivalent) within a private practice firm who works primarily in intellectual property law. To be eligible for this award, the partner must highlight how he/she has continuously adapted to evolving intellectual property laws, ensuring the most favourable outcomes for clients, in the 12 months from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017.
