“As businesses grapple with the upheaval COVID-19 has caused, we know they value more than ever the advice and guidance that business-minded lawyers like Ed and those at Macpherson Kelley can bring to help them through this time and prepare them for the future,” Mr Parker said.

Mr Browne is a business advisory specialist with extensive experience working in mergers and acquisitions, business structuring and commercial arrangements.

Mr Browne’s clients range from service providers in IT, aged care, financial services, hospitality and marketing to construction contractors, technology companies and manufacturers.

He has specialist knowledge of the aged care and caravan (parks and manufacturing) sectors, and was involved in the $660 million merger that created the Emeco Holdings mining equipment company.

Mr Browne said he’s excited to be joining Macpherson Kelley and engaging with its broad range of practice areas so that all the legal needs of clients are served seamlessly within the firm.

“Macpherson Kelley has a reputation as a firm with a focus on delivering commercial outcomes to business clients. I’m keen to tap the experience it has in business-critical areas such as workplace relations, property matters and dispute resolution,” he said on the move.

“As the economy begins to emerge from COVID-19 and businesses adapt to the new operating environment, they are going to need advice and guidance across a range of issues to ensure they can thrive.”
