Deal: Gilbert + Tobin has advised SG Fleet Group on its acquisition of LeasePlan ANZ. Launched simultaneously with the acquisition is an $86.3 million equity capital raising.
Value: Undisclosed.
Area: M&A.
Key Players: The G+T team was led by partner and co-head of the corporate advisory group, Costas Condoleon, who was supported by partner Kevin Ko and lawyers Wes Bainbridge, Syavie Ghamry, Rebecca Ching and Arda Reznikas, as well as partner Elizabeth Avery and lawyer Haidee Leung. Advising on transitional services were Andrew Hii and lawyer Meaghan Powell.
Deal Significance: The acquisition, the firm said, will create for SG Fleet a highly compelling fleet management and leasing offering in a dynamic market across Australia and New Zealand, and international opportunities with the alliance arrangement.
Ms Condoleon said the firm was delighted that their firm was able to help SG Fleet achieve such a successful outcome.
