Deal: Global business intelligence provider Byggfakta Group (BFG) has been advised on its acquisition of BCI Media Group as part of its plan for international expansion. BCI Media Group was advised by G+T on the deal.

Key players: Corporate partner Samy Mansour led the cross-disciplinary Clayton Utz team that advised on the transaction, which included partner Simon Brady, senior associate Mariam Azzo, and lawyers Charis Chan, Julie Wong, Cloe Jolly and Danielle Crowe.
They were supported by a team contributing expertise across a range of practice areas, including workplace relations, superannuation, data and privacy, real estate, litigation, intellectual property, banking and finance and competition.

Deal significance: Byggfakta Group is a leading software and information company within the construction industry. BCI Media Group is a B2B information provider for the construction industry in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the US. The merging of the two companies, completed in October, has created a powerhouse in construction industry data intelligence solutions.
The acquisition will enable Byggfakta Group to expand its operations internationally, including in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, New Zealand, and the United States.
