In anticipation of a move you should consider the following requirements for large law firm recruitment overseas in the future: excellent academic results, large firm training, generally, at least three to four years working post-admission, experience in a practice area that is easily transferable and busy (in the past this has included corporate/M&A and banking & finance) and language skills in the relevant jurisdiction.
