The College of Law today (28 July) received an award for outstanding achievement (best program) from the International Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA) at a ceremony in New York City.

The College of Law is the first Australian organisation to receive the award, which is one of 18 annual awards granted to competitors representing more than 300 organisations.

"We are extremely grateful and honoured to be included in these awards," said director of continuing professional education, Una Doyle, who accepted the award on behalf of The College of Law.

"ACLEA's annual awards are highly competitive, so receiving recognition for these projects represents the highest level of achievement and showcases our work in these important areas of legal education."

The College was recognised for its "Judges Series 2010" program, which involved a number of lectures given by eminent judges to address key areas of court practice.
