CBP lures new insurance lawyer
Colin Biggers & Paisley has named a new senior associate in its Sydney office, having nabbed an insurance lawyer from Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers.
The former associate, Mathisha Panagoda, has represented plaintiffs and defendants in litigated proceedings across most Australian jurisdictions, Colin Biggers & Paisley said.

With clients including schools and religious institutions, and having worked on the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, the firm’s statement welcoming Mr Panagoda to the team also highlighted his expertise as including litigation, compensation, alternative dispute resolution, not-for-profit work, as well as intellectual property law and entertainment law.
Commenting on the appointment, managing partner Nick Crennan considered the insurance practice as having undergone significant growth recently and said he is delighted to welcome Mr Panagoda to the team.
