According to a statement from the firm, Mr Reidy has recently returned to Australia after spending the past two years working within a specialist legal team on the infected blood inquiry in London.
“The Infected Blood Inquiry is the largest public inquiry ever seen in the United Kingdom and was set up to examine the circumstances in which men, women and children treated by National Health Services in the United Kingdom were given infected blood and infected blood products, in particular since 1970,” the statement said.
“Prior to working in London, Brendan worked as a solicitor at law firms located in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast practicing in the areas of litigation, insolvency and commercial leasing.
“Having returned to Brisbane at what can only be described as a critical point in time for the insolvency industry, Brendan is looking forward to working with clients to achieve the best possible outcome within the unstable environment that has developed as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Commenting on his new role, Mr Reidy praised Tucker & Cowen’s previous focus on the litigation and insolvency space.
“It is an exciting time to be returning to the litigation and insolvency sector in Australia,” he said.
“Tucker & Cowen has an unparalleled reputation within the industry and I am looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.”
