Benedict is currently employed as Special Counsel at Queensland specialist boutique law firm, Susan Moriarty & Associates where he manages a busy, diverse and innovative litigation practice in employment law, anti-discrimination law, administrative law, education law, and human rights law. From April 2016 - April 2018, Benedict served two years as national President of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights (ALHR). ALHR is a national organisation of Australian solicitors, barristers, academics, judicial officers and law students who practise and promote international human rights law in Australia. ALHR has active and engaged National, State and Territory committees and specialised thematic subcommittees. Benedict has been a judge for a number of Lawyers Weekly Awards over the past few years.
