About the live stream

In our session with Atto Legal (titled ‘The future of legal practice should be designed by lawyers’), we will unpack how professional expertise, client needs, and operational insight can shape smarter workflows and technology decisions, as well as consider where generative AI adds value, where deterministic automation is better suited, how firms can build practical implementation capability, and how to move beyond selecting tools, overcome uncertainty, and start designing, testing, and improving new ways of working.

In our second session with Relativity, ‘Defensible by design: Governing AI responsibly’, we will explore what responsible and defensible AI governance looks like in practice for legal organisations across ANZ; evolving expectations; how firms can translate AI policies into meaningful oversight; disclosure, verification, accountability, and sign-off, as well as common governance gaps and recognised frameworks; and the practical steps organisations can take to become genuinely “defensible by design”.

In our third session with Parachute, ‘Beyond efficiency: how AI-first law firms are building new revenue streams and deeper client relationships’, we will examine how AI-first law firms are moving beyond efficiency to create new opportunities for growth, revenue, and client engagement; how connected workflows and purpose-built legal AI can reshape service delivery, pricing, and the client experience. The conversation will examine the potential of client-facing AI to build recurring revenue and stronger relationships, alongside the importance of verification, security, and responsible adoption. The panel will also consider what firms should prioritise to become genuinely AI-first.

And, in our fourth session with LexisNexis, ‘Why lawyers buy AI, but don’t use it – and what changes once they do’, we will dive into the gap between investing in AI and achieving meaningful, sustained adoption across legal teams; why lawyers remain cautious about AI, what builds confidence in its use, and how effective adoption can shift time away from repetitive work towards higher-value judgement and expertise; and examine how greater AI adoption can provide better data on how legal work is performed, supporting more informed approaches to pricing, profitability, and alternative fee arrangements.

Join us to understand the risks, opportunities, and actionable steps lawyers, firms, and legal teams can take with the new financial year now in full swing.
