Seyfort joins HWL’s corporate and commercial group from Lander & Rogers, where he was the firm's corporate advisory practice group leader for more than eight years.

Seyfort also spent five years as company secretary and senior lawyer for Crown Limited, as well as performing nonexecutive director and audit committee member roles for a utility and two corporate superannuation funds.

His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, joint ventures, competition law and regulatory law. Seyfort’s specialist regulatory experience allows him to represent clients in dealings with government and regulatory bodies and provide advice on regulatory compliance programs and strategies for the management of regulatory risk.

He will join HWL on 2 July 2012.

The managing partner of HWL, Juan Martinez, said the firm has seen significant growth in demand for regulatory assistance in recent years.
