Allens has appointed Tracey Greenaway as a partner in the firm's oil and gas practice in Perth.

Allens has appointed Tracey Greenaway as a partner in the firm's oil and gas practice in Perth.

Greenaway has been with Shell International for eight years, working in London, The Hague and Perth, and is currently Shell’s senior legal counsel. Before that, she worked for eight years with Linklaters.

She will join Allens on 1 October.

Allens’ chairman Ewen Crouch said Greenaway's appointment is the latest move to continue building the firm's Perth practice and its regional oil and gas practice. It also reflects the firm's response to client demand in energy and resources, as evidenced earlier this month with the appointment of Jo Daniels in Brisbane, whose work will be focused on the resources sector.

“Tracey has extensive experience in the development and commercialisation of LNG projects and has worked on a wide range of oil and gas matters across the world,” said Crouch.

Before joining Shell, Greenaway was part of Linklaters' global projects team, advising on the financing and restructuring of international energy and infrastructure projects.

Perth practice director Andrew Pascoe said her appointment reflected the firm's continuing investment in its Perth practice.

“It has been well documented that Western Australia continues to play a leading role in driving both the Australian economy and the Asia-Pacific economy,” said Pascoe.
