Nicholas Grambas will join the firm as a partner in its Melbourne office.
On why he made the move, Grambas said: “Gilbert + Tobin has a track record of high-quality clients and transactions in its M&A, ECM, finance and regulatory practice. I’m looking forward to the prospect of joining this top-tier firm and helping to develop their presence further in these areas – both domestically and internationally."
Grambas was the head of Baker & McKenzie's banking and finance group, and advises on international transactions, project finance and significant infrastructure developments.
Gilbert + Tobin has recently expanded its partnership with six new partners, three of which are based in the new Melbourne office.
Managing partner, Danny Gilbert said on the the new hire: “We’re delighted to add a person of Nick’s calibre to the firm ... [Grambas'] legal and investment banking experience will significantly bolster our infrastructure, utilities, finance and M&A practices and allow us to further develop our regional capabilities in those areas.”
