Mallesons Stephen Jaques has publicised the appointment of four new special counsel to the firm’s banking and finance and mergers and acquisitions teams globally.

MALLESONS Stephen Jaques has publicised the appointment of four new special counsel to its banking and finance and mergers and acquisitions teams globally.

All internal promotions, the appointments were effective from the beginning of this year, but the firm has just publicised the appointments today.

Christine McIntosh and Helena Busljeta have both been appointed as special counsel to the Sydney banking and finance teams.

McIntosh has over 20 years experience advising a wide range of leading financial service institutions and Busljeta is responsible for drafting and maintaining the firm's Banking and Finance precedents.

Joe Newitt is the new special counsel to the London M&A team. He has over 10 years experience and advises clients on foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings and hybrid capital and other fundraisings.

Adam Levine has been elected as special counsel to the Perth M&A team. He advises the firm's corporate clients.

Mallesons chief executive partner, Robert Milliner, said: "The appointments recognise the special expertise and responsibility of senior staff in a specific area and acknowledges their clearly defined business role in their team."
