Australian intellectual property firm Griffith Hack has promoted principal David Hughes to chairman of the Board.

“David is a forward-thinking leader who has recognised the potential for innovation to drive the growth of Griffith Hack,” said Ward.
Hughes said that, under Ward’s leadership, the firm experienced sustained growth and demonstrated an ability to tailor services to meet the needs of the corporate sector.
“I am looking forward to building on Tony’s legacy as chairman,” he said.
Hughes has more than 20 years’ experience specialising in IP. He has been a principal patent attorney at Griffith Hack since 2002 and a Board member since 2008. He has previously acted as an expert advisor on behalf of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
“The opportunities for clients who adopt a sophisticated approach to IP are immense,” said Hughes.
