Fotheringham joins KWM from Allens where he worked as a senior lawyer in the firm’s energy and resources team for 10 years, including a stint on secondment at INPEX negotiating the structure of the multi-tcf, 2 train Ichthys LNG project.
Fotheringham has experience in cross-border transactions, project development, corporate and asset acquisitions and disposals, and commodity sale and purchase agreements.
He also brings mining expertise to the firm, having acted on a number of matters for clients like Rio Tinto.
Fotheringham joins partner Craig Rogers’ Brisbane oil and gas team.
