Senior financial services lawyer Josh Clarke has joined Squire Sanders’ Perth office as an Of Counsel.

Clarke was previously a partner at the Singapore office of Watson Farley & Williams.

Clarke is a dual-qualified US and Australian attorney with more than 15 years’ experience working at firms in New York, Melbourne and Singapore.

He specialises in cross-border finance, with broad experience in syndicated and secured bank financings. He has a particular focus on leveraged, project, structured trade and export credit agency-backed financings, and has considerable experience within the commodities and natural resources sectors.

John Poulsen, Squire Sanders’ managing partner in Australia, said: “Josh is a very experienced project and structured finance lawyer and we are delighted to welcome him to the firm. With his depth of expertise in the natural resources sector we see exciting synergies with our energy and natural resources industry groups, not only in Australia but across our international platform.”
