Fielding was most recently a partner at Maddocks and before that he was a partner at Henry Davis York; he has also worked at Clayton Utz and Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Fielding, who has 20 years’ experience in the law, was also principal of his own law firm, M J Fielding, in 2003 and 2004.

Fielding’s appointment took effect last Thursday (22 August).
