Mid-tier firm M+K Lawyers has poached construction principal Alex McKellar and his team from a Victorian boutique.
McKellar (pictured), who will be based in Dandenong, and three other legal and support staff from Moores Legal have joined M+K in Victoria this week (8 July).

McKellar was the principal construction lawyer in the property & construction group at Moores. He has brought senior associate Caeli Lovell, lawyer Damian Curran and legal secretary Leah Kristanta across to M+K.
Prior to joining Moores, McKellar was a partner at Pilley McKellar in Melbourne, a firm he formed with John Pilley, who is now a special counsel at Moores.
“[McKellar’s] focus on the mid-market aligns perfectly with our firm’s strategy,” commented M+K’s managing director Damian Paul.
M+K recently nabbed another partner, Brooke Glastonbury, from boutique firm Brown Wright Stein to head up the firm’s property practice in Sydney.
M+K has around 50 principals and more than 350 staff across offices in Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania and Queensland.
