Lexvoco, a new firm that provides legal expertise ‘on call’ both for in-house teams and law firms, has hired a former general counsel of Yahoo!7 to head its Sydney office.

Stuart Granger (pictured) has joined Lexvoco as its general manager for NSW. He will also continue to practice, with a focus on the ICT and entertainment sectors.

Mr Granger was the general counsel of Yahoo!7 from 2001 to 2008, the manager of legal services at Tourism Australia from 2009 to 2011 and, more recently, the CEO of Air Office, a ‘virtual receptionist’ service provider.

Last month, Lawyers Weekly spoke to the founder of Lexvoco, Anthony Wright, who said the firm helps in-house teams and law firms cope with fluctuating volumes of work and meet the market's need for ‘roaming’ lawyers.

Lexvoco employs hundreds of lawyers in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and provides legal services to ASX100 companies and multinational organisations with substantial in-house teams in Australia.
