Kate Hay (pictured) has been appointed to the Corrs partnership and will be based in the firm’s Melbourne office. She had been with Griffith Hack for six years, the last two as a principal of the firm.

Ms Hay specialises in patent litigation and large multi-jurisdictional trademark litigation. She has advised in court proceedings involving patent infringement and revocation matters, trademark, misleading and deceptive conduct, passing off, copyright and design matters.

Her experience covers many industries, including pharmaceutical, medical devices, computer technology and software, mining, energy, automotive, fashion and consumer goods.

Corrs recently lost the head of its IP, technology and competition law practice to King & Wood Mallesons.
