Melbourne firm builds on construction team

Rigby Cooke Lawyers has appointed a new partner to its corporate and commercial group who has previously advised on some of Australia’s most iconic building projects.

Rigby Cooke Lawyers has appointed a new partner to its corporate and commercial group who has previously advised on some of Australia’s most iconic building projects.

Michael Loterzo has practised extensively in the construction industry, and has worked on notable projects such as AAMI Park and the MCG in Melbourne, No 1 Martin Place in Sydney and Soul Apartments in Surfers Paradise.

Mr Loterzo has previously held senior legal, commercial management and operational roles with leading building and construction companies Grocon and, most recently, Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd.

Rigby Cooke Lawyers executive chairman Bill Karvela said: “With Michael coming on as a partner focusing on the crucial portfolio of construction, Rigby Cooke has this year added 15 lawyers to its team.”

He continued: “With such extensive industry experience, Michael brings a highly sought-after combination of legal, management and operational expertise in the delivery of major projects, and will provide a unique strategic advisory role to our clients.”

Rigby Cooke recently appointed a team of three to its workplace relations practice.
