Dispersed firm Nexus Law Group has recruited a former solicitor at Davis Lawyers to their Brisbane office.

James Ford (pictured), who joins the Brisbane team as a consulting principal, specialises in property and commercial law.

He worked in property development prior to qualifying as a lawyer and has an interest in sustainable development.

“We target people like James who bring industry experience outside the law, as we have found this makes them better, more focused commercial lawyers,” said Nexus founder Marcus McCarthy.

Nexus Law Group appointed Maeve Doyle as a consulting principal in its Sydney office in December last year. The firm also opened a ‘hub’ office in Perth in the same month.
