A former chief executive partner of Allens has started a new Sydney-based role as special adviser.
Michael Rose AM (pictured) has joined KPMG as a special adviser, providing the firm’s leadership teams with key insights which support a range of growth initiatives.

This includes social responsibility – particularly Indigenous businesses and communities – government and infrastructure, with a focus on transport and “smart cities”, and legal advisory, according to a statement from KPMG.
In addition, Mr Rose will also coach and mentor top partners and directors of KPMG, the statement said.
KPMG chief executive officer Gary Wingrove said he is excited that Mr Rose has joined the firm.
“Having known and worked with Michael for years in a variety of capacities, I know we are very fortunate to have him onboard,” Mr Wingrove said.
“Michael’s diverse background and experience, fuelled by his passion for innovation, is highly complementary to the firm.”
Throughout his career, Mr Rose has chaired a number of government, arts and not-for-profit organisations, including the Committee for Sydney, Sydney Living Museums, and the Institute for Global Development at UNSW, which he will continue to chair in addition to his new role with KPMG.
