Dibbs Abbott Stillman has appointed Adam Levine as a partner in Melbourne. As co-head of the Melbourne banking and finance practice, his focus is on assisting corporations and financial institutions with commercial finance, property and construction finance, structured finance and capital markets. The firm said his background in investment banking meant he has a wealth of contacts and knowledge on how to secure and structure the best finance deals.

Phillips Fox has appointed partner Ben Duggan to its employment and industrial relations team in Adelaide. He joins the firm from Minter Ellison. Duggan has more than 10 years experience advising in the areas of employment, industrial relations, safety, workers compensation and discrimination law, and appears regularly as counsel in industrial commissions and the State Workers Compensation Tribunal.

Jason Huinink has joined Clayton Utz banking and finance group as a partner from Blake Dawson Waldron. The firm said he is recognised as one of Australia’s leading structured and asset financing lawyers and also has a market leading reputation in property, acquisition and other project and corporate debt financing transactions. Huinink also spent some time in New York with US firm Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Mills Kirin has been appointed to Mills Oakley Lawyers property and finance team. Kirin has lectured in both commerce and law at top Australian universities and now brings to the firm several years of practice experience in banking and finance as well as in real and intellectual property.
