Adelaide law firm Cowell Clarke has appointed property lawyer Richard McNeil as a senior partner. He will head the firm’s property division. The firm said he has 20-years experience in all facets of property law.

Commercial law firm Thomson Playford has appointed two new partners to its insurance group in Sydney. Paul Kozub has come from Sydney insurance firm Riley Gray-Spencer and has a decade of practice experience ranging from professional indemnity to public and product liability. Colin Davidson joins the firm from Phillips Fox. The firm said he has a strong reputation in public liability and workers compensation litigation.

Kliger Partners, a Melbourne commercial law firm, has appointed a partner and three senior associates. The firm said partner Rob Lewis has had a 30-year career in the commercial and dispute resolution areas in Melbourne’s CBD. Mark Yaskewych has joined the firm’s commercial & property departments, Andrew Flower the employment and commercial dispute resolution departments and David Weinberger the commercial dispute resolution department.

Michael Riches recently joined Clayton Utz and will be a partner in the firm’s project finance and infrastructure group. Riches was previously at Minter Ellison and is said to be widely recognised in the areas of projects and project finance, acquisition finance and corporate finance.

Jayne Steele has recently joined Nicol Robinson Halletts as a special counsel. Steele’s background is primarily in mining resources and energy. Her recent experience was as general counsel for a publicly listed independent energy generator.

Bartier Perry Solicitors has recently appointed Joanne Moore as a solicitor in the property team and Michelle Johnson as a senior associate in the wills & estates practice.
