Dennis Tuan-Mu has been promoted from employee solicitor to an associate at Stamfords Lawyers. He specialises in commercial litigation/dispute resolution, contract, intellectual property and corporate law and was recently the instructing solicitor in a successful Supreme Court banking litigation matter which set a new precedent in Victorian property law.

Voitin Walker Davis Lawyers has appointed Geoff Croxford as partner to head its family law department. Formerly a partner of Kenna Croxford & Co., Croxford is recognised as a leader in the area of family law and also has extensive experience in criminal law and the horse racing industry.

First Title has appointed Jon Downes as general counsel. This is to coincide with First Title’s introduction of title insurance policies for commercial property transactions. First Title has been issuing policies on residential property transactions since 1999. Downes previously spent four years at Lovells in London and the last six years at Allens Arthur Robinson, where he was on secondment with Westpac for much of last year. He has experience in insurance, property and banking matters.

Peter Hunt has been appointed as a senior associate at Curwood & Partners’ CTP practice group. Hunt is the current CCH editor of the Motor Accidents Handbook and has recently been appointed a CARS assessor.

Robert Wall has commenced employment with Colliers International as General Manager — Legal Services. Wall will be responsible for the provision of general legal advice, with a focus on assisting the business with its professional indemnity and public liability risk. He was previously employed by Woolworths Limited as legal counsel in the company’s risk & safety department.
