Gadens poaches Herbert Geer partner

By Reporter|06 February 2012

Gadens has poached former Herbert Geer partner Doron Rivlin and his team to the firm’s Sydney construction practice.

Rivlin has experience acting in matters related to airports, sporting facilities, defence, property, educational facilities, mining, hydro-electric and chemical facilities, water treatment plants, and transport.

He is an accredited adjudicator under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act, bringing to three the number of Gadens partners who are accredited adjudicators under the Act.

Rivlin has a Masters in International Commercial Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Civil Law
(Honours) from University College, Dublin.

Joining Rivlin is senior associate Marcus Graham and lawyer Richard Bullock, who
has a background in engineering.

Lead construction partner, Scott Laycock welcomed Doron and his team.

“Unlike some firms that are more interested in servicing the big financiers of major projects,
Gadens remains committed to the development companies and contractors that make these
projects happen,” said Laycock.
