Key players: HDY senior insolvency and restructuring partner Roger Dobson (pictured) is leading the multidisciplinary HDY legal team for the administration of the 44 companies in the Hastie Group.

Deal significance: "While it is not the largest administration Australia has seen, the Hastie Group administration is extremely significant in terms of the flow-on effect it will have to the building and construction industries," said Dobson. Hastie Group is a provider of technical and engineering services to the building, infrastructure and resources sectors. It has operations in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland and the Middle East and has approximately 7000 employees worldwide, including approximately 4000 in Australia.
