IMX has acquired all the shares in Continental Nickel Limited, a Canadian company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Deal significance: IMX and Continental are partners in a nickel sulphide joint venture project located in Tanzania. The deal consolidated ownership of this project within a single corporate group. It also saw IMX list on the Toronto Stock Exchange whilst expanding its ASX listing to include the quotation of options. The acquisition was conducted pursuant to a plan of arrangement under Canadian law (similar to the Australian scheme of arrangement process), with scrip consideration provided by IMX.
