No Australian law firms worked on the deal.

Recognised as one of the world's most sustainable companies, ASX and NYSE listed Sims announced its 20% strategic investment in Chinese recycling company, Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed Chiho-Tiande Group, this week.

The Baker & McKenzie team was led by Sydney partner David Holland and Hong Kong partners David Fleming and Dorothea Koo. Baker & McKenzie has also previously advised Sims on its NYSE listing and in a number of material M&A transactions in Australia and the United States.

Holland said: "This deal has enabled Sims to increase its exposure to recycling markets in China which is a major step for the company given the opportunities in the region".
