A Melbourne-based law firm Rockwell Bates has advised the UK’s Alternative Investment Market-listed Beacon Hill Resources PLC on its successful compliance listing on the Australian Securities Exchange.

The Beacon Hill listing was by way of a compliance listing as a foreign entity, with no funds being raised. The client will continue to be quoted on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange under the symbol BHR and on the ASX under the symbol BHU

The Rockwell Bates team, led by Brett Burns and assisted by Associate Director Prakash Patel and Associates Michelle Anglin and Daniel Parncutt, completed the listing on 5 April 2012.

Halcyon Corporate, led by Jonathan Tooth, were corporate advisors to the company.

Beacon Hill is an AIM listed resource company focused on building a portfolio of near term production projects in commodities relating to the steel production industry.

The client’s two main assets, Minas Moatize, a coking coal mine in northern Mozambique and Tasmania Magnesite, a magnesite deposit in Northern Tasmania, provide the group with exposure to the steel production industry.

The law firm said the ASX listing will enhance the client’s market exposure and generate wider investor interest.
