Firm: Baker & McKenzie (Beacon Lighting)

Deal: Beacon Lighting IPO

Value: $142 million

Area: Capital Markets

Key Players: Melbourne-based partner Richard Lustig (pictured) is leading the Bakers team. Senior associates Eliza McDonald and Rick Troiano also assisted, with support from Sydney-based partner Frank Castiglia

Deal Significance: Beacon Lighting is scheduled to list on the ASX in April. The national company is hoping to raise just shy of $142 million with the IPO. “As predicted late last year, Australia’s IPO market is off to a nice start in 2014,” said Lustig. “We’ve seen a number of IPOs come through in this first quarter and we should see a few more in the next. I’m delighted to have advised Beacon Lighting, an iconic Australian brand, on its growth strategy.”
