Australian firm Baker & McKenzie has advised luxury electronics brand Bang & Olufsen on the sale of its trans-Tasman operations.

Deal significance:
Bang & Olufsen is a Danish electronics company specialising in the design and manufacture of luxury audio products, television sets and telephones. Emerald Group is a luxury goods retailer and distributor in Australia and New Zealand.
The deal will see Emerald take over B&O’s operations in the region, as well as acting as B&O’s long-term master distributor.
Bakers partner Mr McLaughlin welcomed the deal as a “good outcome” for his client.
