Waterfront properties sell for $635m

A pier and a tower in Brisbane’s 'Golden Triangle' district have been acquired with legal advice from two firms.

Value: $635 million

Key players: The DibbsBarker team was led by partner Matthew Rollason (pictured), supported by partner Bill Burrough, senior associates Kirsten Pike, Rob Jarvin, Steven Askew and special counsel Danyelle Kelson.

The King & Wood Mallesons team was led by partner Simone Menz, with assistance from partner David Bell.

Deal significance: According to a release by DibbsBarker, DEXUS Property Group and DEXUS Wholesale Property Fund have settled their joint acquisition of Waterfront Place and Eagle Street Pier in the prime commercial precinct of Brisbane’s CBD known as the ‘Golden Triangle’.

Each entity has acquired a 50 per cent interest in Waterfront Place, a tower with 59,448 square metres of space, and Eagle Street Pier, a 6,258 square metre prime riverfront retail precinct with views over the Brisbane River.
