A global firm has advised the joint lead managers and underwriters on Aconex’s $135 million capital raising to fund a proposed acquisition.
Firms: Baker & McKenzie (Macquarie Capital and UBS AG)
Value: $135 million
Area: Banking and finance
Key players: The Baker & McKenzie team was led by partner Lauren Magraith (pictured), with assistance from corporate partner Craig Andrade and senior associate Hoda Nahlous.
Deal significance: Macquarie Capital (Australia) Limited and UBS AG, Australia Branch, acted as joint lead managers and underwriters of a $120 million institutional placement of securities in Aconex to fund Aconex's proposed acquisition of Conject Holding GmbH.
In conjunction with the placement, the joint lead managers also conducted a selldown of approximately $15 million of existing shares in Aconex, on behalf of Aconex co-founders Leigh Jasper and Rob Phillpot.
“We are delighted to have assisted our long-standing clients Macquarie and UBS on this transaction for Aconex, having also advised those banks on the initial public offering of Aconex in 2014,” said Baker & McKenzie lead partner Lauren Magraith.
“Aconex has performed exceptionally well since its listing and we hope this proposed transaction allows it to build on that success.”
