Deal significance: Alinta Energy and Chevron (TAPL) Pty Ltd announced last week that they have signed a new gas sales agreement (GSA) for the supply of 20 petajoules of gas per annum.

The gas will be supplied from the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project over a period of seven years, commencing 2020.

Perth-based commercial law firm Grondal Bruining, which advised Alinta Energy on the transaction, was established in January this year.

“Grondal Bruining is delighted to have acted for Alinta on this significant transaction,” said Grondal Bruining director James Bruining.

“It demonstrates we have the capability to assist our clients in delivering major energy and resources transactions.”
