Ex-HDY partner moves to rival firm

Felicity Healey

A litigation expert who was involved in the high-profile Octaviar liquidation has joined her former HDY colleagues at another national firm.

Felicity Healy (pictured) joined the partnership of Corrs Chambers Westgarth last month. According to her new firm, Ms Healey is a highly regarded litigation and insolvency specialist who has worked in three jurisdictions throughout her 17-year career.

According to Corrs, Ms Healey has advised some of the world’s leading financial institutions in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

Corrs CEO Join Denton AO said Ms Healey had significant connections to the financial services industry and took the time to understand client needs.

“Felicity is consistently described by clients, peers and colleagues as ‘commercially astute’ and she prides herself on understanding and appreciating her clients’ business and commercial needs when providing legal advice,” Mr Denton said.

“She is an exceptional lawyer with deep connectivity in the financial services industry and she will enhance our firm’s market-leading litigation and insolvency offering.”

“[Felicitiy] is known to visit company offices, sites and other relevant places of business to better understand the matter on which she is advising,” he added.

By moving across the Sydney office of the national firm, Ms Healy joins other HDY legacy partners Patrick O’Grady, Ben Emblin, Cameron Cheetham, Craig Ensor and Michael Catchpoole.
