Three lawyers from Clyde & Co have contributed to the publications, which the firm said demonstrated its support of the broader business and student communities.

“These significant recent efforts reflect Clyde & Co's commitment to providing first-class thought leadership to both the legal and insurance industries,” a spokesperson said.

Insurance partner Christopher Smith authored a chapter for the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) that was included in its Entrepreneur's Guide: Startup, Scaleup, IPO. Launched earlier this month, the guide was designed to give practical advice to help young businesses be market-ready.

Mr Smith’s chapter offers an overview of directors and officers' policies and practical tips for real life scenarios. It is aimed at everyone from graduates to seasoned professionals wanting to start their own business.

“The overview is a must read for those in need of a commercial insight into the issues at hand,” Clyde & Co said.

The firm noted that Mr Smith has more than 20 years' legal experience and is passionate about working with SMEs.

Meanwhile, Clyde & Co partners David Amentas and Avryl Lattin have also contributed a chapter for The Legal 500’s Insurance & Reinsurance Comparative Guide. The global publication provides a snapshot of insurance law in almost 20 countries.

The lawyer’s chapter canvasses Insurance & Reinsurance in Australia and addresses topics such as contract regulation, licensing, penalties, policyholder protection, alternative dispute resolution and insight into the future of the insurance market over the next five years.

Only those firms who have been ranked in The Legal 500 for insurance are eligible to contribute to the guide.
