INTERNATIONAL LAW firm DLA Piper advised one of China’s largest health management service organisations, iKang Guobin Healthcare Group (iKang) it its latest round of equity financing.

iKang received more than US$20 million ($22.6 million) in financing, a significant step towards its much anticipated initial public offering.

DLA Team members on the transaction were Rocky Lee, partner and China venture capital and private equity head, as well as Christopher Terry, senior associate and Jenny Liu, associate. DLA Piper’s venture capital and private equity team in China was ranked top tier by Asia Pacific Legal 500 in 2007.

“As Chinese companies continue their offshore expansion there is strong demand for legal services from experts who both understand the dynamic business and regulatory environment in China and have a thorough understanding of and connection with international investors,” said Lee.
