Maddocks recently announced its role in the successful bid to design, construct, finance and maintain two facilities under the Victorian Government’s Correctional Facilities Program. The Victorian Correctional Infrastructure Partnership Pty Ltd comprises the German construction giant Bilfinger Berger, Baulderstone Services and United KG, with Maddocks as legal adviser. The consortium will deliver a 600-bed remand centre and a 300-bed correctional program centre as a PPP under the Government’s Partnerships Victoria Policy.

Construction and major projects partner Greg Campbell says the project sits neatly with Maddocks’ growing experience in PPP’s. “Maddocks is currently focused on negotiating contract and risk allocation issues. This work will pave the way for a two-year construction period and an asset maintenance period of 25 years.”
